Anthem Challenge#12

There is a slight nip in the air. The mornings are cool and breezy. Waking up and getting out of the bed is the most difficult part of my day. Holding on to the bed-sheet / comforter while mentally calculating the extra minutes for lazing around is how I usually kick start my days. Early morning (eyes closed) banter with sister about anything and everything. It is all wonderful.
My favorite season is back and so are those numerous reminders of year end. I am not here to retrospect. There is plenty of time for that.

My sister in an early morning person (very early, I would say) and waking up early in this weather has been difficult for her as well. She leaves for work early whereas I take my own sweet time to workout and then to get ready. Every day I think of a long lost song and then put it on an endless loop. When I woke up today morning I knew the song instantly. I thought of a beautiful memory and I knew I had to play this song. Endlessly.

I thought of this space and my Anthem Challenge.

I love this song very much. For me this song is about hope and despair, love and bitterness (that comes with it), faith and doubt. And they say "Never the twain shall meet" . So many different emotions tied together. It couldn't have been written any better. The song is just perfect.
Music of "Ae Ajnabi" was written by A. R. Rahman with lyrics by Gulzar for the film Dil Se.
Every song of this movie is a piece of art but somehow this song gives me goosebumps. The melody simply haunts you. The melancholy leaves an after taste.  It feels like a conversation in progress. It reminds me of that tingling sensation realization of being in love and missing that person. A reminder of those little things which are tucked deep inside the brain heart.

I fell in love with this song. Again.
