Life I've Got You..

In a very unusual turn of events, I have decided to take the entire week off from work starting Monday. I have no travel plans and nowhere to be. It is just for my own restoration. It is very unlike me, I know that. My cousin thinks that I wouldn't survive (sitting at home) beyond day-2. She might be right for all I know but then it was needed.

The work has been pretty hectic and also my life has been maddening. As usual. While I couldn't have done anything to bring this chaos aka 'life' under control I decided to just take a mini break. I want to be with myself. I want to work on those dusty projects, the unpainted canvasses and cook those bookmarked recipes. In a way I will be working but just on myself and my betterment.

So I have put together a list of things that I have promised myself to do this week. I love lists and we all know that :).  I will try and be diligent about it. This is what my life is going to be for the next 5 days:

1. Blog Everyday
2. Paint something (however little) everyday
3. Listen to music everyday
4. Organize my closet
5. Bake outside of my comfort zone
6. Afternoon Nap
7. Read Everyday (Finish 2 books)
8. More running (Between 50 and 55kms this week)
9. Read the whole Newspaper and not just skim through
10.Try something different this week (Not sure what but will update)
11. Post recipes on my food blog (The drafted ones waiting to be published)

See you on the other side..

  1. I'm sure you'll have a great time. When I first decided to stay home instead of going out to work, I had a rough few days. In the last few months I've started to enjoy this time I have so much. I get to enjoy a leisurely breakfast, I read a lot through the day, I cook whatever it is I feel like eating, can write what I want, when I want and can spend so much time talking to the people I love. I used to feel guilty for staying at home when the whole world was outside working. Now I'm just so grateful to be able to stay at home and do all the things I love. You have a good list of things to do here so I'm sure boredom will not be a problem. Let me know how it goes :)

  2. He he he.. Little break sounds good .. And 'Me' Time is definitely necessary . Looking forward to the updates on the Blog :)

  3. @Priyanka: Thank you for cheering me up. I read it last night and was very happy to see this comment. I did the same things that you mentioned here - Leisurely Breakfast, reading etc etc.. and was thinking of you.
Why feel guilty of doing what you love? I admire people who enjoy their own company. Respect!

@Sonal: Yeah, it was much needed. Yes - I am going to bore you with my updates!!!

  4. So how did the week turnout? how about an update?
