~~~ Here Comes the Sun~~~
I am really happy today..
Well there are a plenty of reasons.The main reason is that I had my longest dialogue in German today (Ha ha).. Well to be honest I am inspired today.. Go ahead.. Read on!
I have a new neighbor (Actually , he is not my immediate neighbor.. Yeah in the same neighborhood though!)
The weather was bright and clear so I decided to go for a run. I bumped in to my new neighbor while finishing the last kilometer. We got talking to each other. He is also working in the same town(Different office building ).
We met again in the evening. I was on my way to my favorite coffee shop and he decided to join me.
His English is perfect and his Hindi is pretty decent too.. Yup my eyeballs popped out when he switched to Hindi after a couple of sentences. The diction was good..
Well, he was in India for an exchange program for 2 months during his MBA (in Spain). I was so impressed he wanted to explore the culture and what better way than learning the language.
I asked him what was his opinion about the young India.. and his answer was: (Paraphrasing)
 "You guys have some of the best monuments.. , the best places , the best food... and yet you guys have not seen those things, experienced those things..You all become patriotic on Facebook whenever there is a bomb blast , or a cricket victory.Being Patriotic does not only mean that you have to condemn bomb blasts on Facebook but it is more than that .. it is about your nation,to know your history, culture..."
I asked him to explain and he told me that almost 90% of the Delhites  never went to Purana Qila or Humayun's tomb etc and didn't know the history until he told them .Sad but True. Anyway so we got on to talking more.. and I was mighty impressed.
He started his own company at the age of 23 sold it at 25. For 2 years he went to travel around the world and to win a few marathons, met with an accident and was paralyzed for 8 months.. fought it and eventually won. Trained himself to be a runner again and after winning his first marathon (post accident) left for his MBA (in Spain). He joined a high profile job in one of the reputed companies in town after his MBA and hence the same neighborhood.He is training himself for an ultra Marathon now...!!
 I asked him if it was tough ? The recovery period.. ? His answer..
"Life is never easy, It beats you, challenges you, makes you work hard... You have to step up and that was my time to step up".
We also discussed how money breaks a relationship (or the remains).. My two "cents"..
"If money can harm your relationship...The relationship is not worth it" ..
It could be about 50 euros or 50000 euros but the extent of damage, the bitterness is just the same.
His story is very inspiring. We sulk, crib, bitch all our lives .. We create issues , make them larger than life..
We always hold the other person responsible for our failures...
We blame the others for The Sun not shining or for The Sun not shining enough...
I think we can all learn a thing or two from people like him...!!!
Oh yeah, about my first longest German dialogue? ha ha ha I passed the test :) May be he was too nice to me.
We counted and we exchanged almost 12 sentences in German. I will be a kickass Bavarian someday :)
P.S : It is a song by Beatles.
It had to be the title for an inspiring post(I hope I could instill some inspiration in you). Every day is a new day and brings new opportunities.. We should make the most of them. No matter how dark the night gets.. The Sun will always be there at the end of it.
"Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right"
